维珍澳大利亚正式表态将于2020年2月11日停飞香港-墨尔本航线，要知道，这条航线可是维珍澳大利亚费了很大力气获得航权，并争取到澳公平竞争与消费者保护委员会（ACCC）批准维珍澳大利亚公司与中国航空公司（香港航空、香港快运与海南航空）结成联盟，实现国际与国内航班代码共享。
新加坡航空公司首席执行官Goh Choon Phong报道说，在香港国际机场发生抗议后，现在说“香港市场需求是否会增加”还为时过早。吴先生说：“当然，需求下降了，而且已经稳定下来，”他补充说，“我们确实看到需求下降它不是很统一，而且每个月都不一样那些真正需要出差的人仍然会这样做休闲方面的影响更大”
Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong reported it is "too early to say" whether demand will increase in the Hong Kong market, following ongoing protests at Hong Kong International Airport . Mr Goh stated: "Of course, there was a decline in demand and it has stabilised", adding, "We do see a drop in demand. It is not very uniform and it varies month to month. Those who really have to travel for business will still do so. The impact is stronger on the leisure side".
